Classes

Classes take place every Tuesday night at New Scene Youth Centre, Lime Wood Close off Newton Lane, Chester CH2 2HH. Our teacher is Penny Caffrey of Movema.

Please note - Easter break - no classes Tuesday 6th March

CLASS TIMES
Beginners Arrive 6.30 Class 6.45 to 7.45 pm
Intermediate Arrive 7.45 Class 8.00 to 9.00 pm

5 pounds for one class, ( 4 pounds for children/ teens)
8 pounds for two classes.

The Beginners class covers basic technique. We are currently learning farruca and sevillanas.

The Intermediate class is learning a different - very dramatic - farruca

No stiletto or kitten heel shoes are allowed on the new dance floor. Advice on flamenco clothes and footwear.

VENUES
New Scene is a traditional sports pavilion; the floor is suspended wood covered with a special dance floor suitable for flamenco which uses a lot of percussive footwork. We have installed studio mirrors. We can use the kitchen facilities. How to find New Scene

We also occcasionally have classes or workshops at Upton Village Hall, Heath Road, Upton, Chester, CH2 1HX. Upton Village Hall has a sprung wooden floor, which is very good for dancing. How to find Upton Village Hall
