Clothes and Footwear
Any comfortable clothing which allows freedom of movement is fine.
It helps with some of the dances for ladies to wear a full skirt.Flamenco dancers use shoes with a reinforced toe, thick sole and specially inserted nails in the soles at the heels and toes. Flamenco shoes are available from specialist dance shops or can be bought in Spain or online.
Until you are sure that you want to go to the expense of buying specialist flamenco shoes, a pair of comfortable court shoes or boots with a 2 inch heel will be suitable. The shoes need to be well-fitting around the heel as you will need to do the heel stamps and footwork without running any risk of twisting your ankle
